OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ BancFirst Corp. (BANF) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $44.7 million.

The Oklahoma City-based bank said it had earnings of $1.34 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.09 per share.

BancFirst shares have climbed 29% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $90.89, a rise of 61% in the last 12 months.
